Alabama Corporate Electronic Filing Information
TY 2009 Forms-Based

The 2009 Final Versions of the Schemas, Business Rules and Reject Codes for the 20C, 20C-C, 65, 20S and PTEC are available below. The AL 4163 Software Developers and Transmitters Guidelines and the AL 4163 Handbook for Electronic Filers are also available. Beginning with TY2009, the Alabama Corporate Electronic Filing Schemas will be Form-based instead of the Category-based schemas used in the previous years. The final versions of the TY2009 Corporate E-Filing Documents are available below. Software vendors should check periodically for any new or updated information. To correctly view the schema and sample instance document you will need to use Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. The spreadsheet below is in Excel. If you don't have the Microsoft Excel software, you can download a free viewer.

2009 AL 4162 TEST PACKAGE

Please contact us if you are planning on developing an Alabama Corporate Electronic filing program prior to submitting any test documents at corporate.efile@revenue.alabama.gov.

Each Software Vendor will create their own test package to adequately test schedules and return/form types supported by their software. Test returns must be transmitted to the Department in .PDF format prior to submission of the electronic version of that test return.
