On December 1, 1999, the Alabama Department of Revenue notified all licensed gasoline and motor fuel distributors and carriers of gasoline and motor fuel in Alabama that Motor Fuel Rule No. 810-8-1-.56, Sales Records of a Licensed Distributor, had been amended with an effective date of December 13, 1999. The amended rule required that the destination state on all shipping documents be machine-printed and that when delivering fuel from a bulk plant, the statement "Delivered from Bulk Plant" must be machine-printed on all shipping documents.
The Department has approved Emergency Rule No. 810-8-1-.56ER that repeals the amendment of Rule No. 810-8-1-.56 for approximately 120 days from the effective date of December 13, 1999. The Department will notify all licensed distributors and carriers of gasoline and motor fuel of any developments pertaining to shipping document requirements.
