Who may purchase license plates in this category?  All residents of Alabama who are owners of self-propelled campers or house cars (i.e., recreational vehicles/motor homes) with a gross vehicle weight of 12,000 pounds or less.

What registration fees are associated with the purchase of this license plate?  $23.00 for recreational vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of 8,000 pounds or less. $50.00 for recreational vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of 8,001 to 12,000 pounds. Recreational vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of more than 12,000 pounds must be registered with annual license plates (or distinctive license plates, if applicable).
