Who may purchase license plates in this category?  All residents of Alabama who are owners of luggage trailers, folding or collapsible camping trailers, and other small trailers of similar size and function. Boat trailers are not included in the definition of utility trailers and are not registered. The trailers must be privately owned and not operated for hire, lease or rental.
