Alabama Sales, Use, Lodgings, and Rental Tax Rates

PLEASE NOTE: When utilizing the city and county search boxes on the left, please supply search criteria in one field (city) or the other (county). You cannot fill in both the city and county fields; only one is required when utilizing the keyword search.

You may view the tax charts by all counties or all cities, or you may perform a keyword search on a county or city. The search accepts full or partial words, it will not accept wildcard characters and is not a boolean search.

When you click on the Monthly Tax Rates Report button to the left, a new window will open to view and print the document. When finished, don't forget to close the extra window to return to this site. If you simply wish to save the file to print later, right-click (Windows) on the link and select Save As. The file is in PDF format (and as such it is searchable), and the free Adobe Acrobat Reader® is required to view the "Monthly Rates Report". If you don't have the Reader, you can download it at Adobe's site by clicking on the icon below. The Adobe site will open in a new window, so again, please don't forget to close the extra window to return to this website.
