The governing body of the Covington County has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales, use, and lodgings taxes for the County. This resolution is effective at 12:00 midnight September 30, 1999. Therefore, your last Covington County sales, use, and lodgings tax return filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue will be for the month of September 1999.
Effective with your sales, use, and lodgings taxes for October 1999 please remit said taxes to:
On or before November 20, 1999 the Covington County will provide you with new forms to be used in filing the County returns.
