TO: ALL PERSONS, FIRMS, AND CORPORATIONS making sales at retail, and purchasing tangible personal property for use, storage, or other consumption, in the Town of Cowarts (Houston County).

The governing body of the Town of Cowarts has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales and use taxes for the town. This resolution was effective at 12:00 midnight February 28, 2001. Therefore, your last Town of Cowarts sales and use tax filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue was for the month of February 2001. The return for February was due on or before March 20, 2001.

Your Town of Cowarts sales and use taxes for March 2001 which are due on or before April 20, 2001, should be remitted to:

On or before April 20, 2001 the Town of Cowarts will provide you with new forms to be used in filing the town returns.
