The governing body of the City of Fayette has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales and use taxes for the City. This resolution was effective at 12:00 midnight June 30, 1999. Therefore, your last City of Fayette sales and use tax to be filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue was for the month of June 1999. The return for June was due in this office on or before July 20, 1999.

Effective with your sales and use taxes for July 1999 due on or before August 20, 1999, please remit said taxes to:

On or before August 20, 1999 the City of Fayette will provide you with new forms to be used in filing the city returns.
