The governing body of the City of Florence has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales and use tax for the city. This change is effective at 12:00 midnight April 30, 2002. Therefore, your last City of Florence sales and use tax return filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue will be for the month of April 2002. The return for April 2002 is due on or before May 20, 2002.
Your City of Florence sales and use tax for May 2002, which is due on or before June 20, 2002, should be remitted to:
