The governing body of the Town of Forkland has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales taxes for the Town. The Department of Revenue received notice of this change on February 23, 2000. This resolution was effective at 12:00 midnight January 31, 2000. Therefore, your last Town of Forkland sales tax required to be paid to the Alabama Department of Revenue was for the month of January 2000.
