The governing body of the City of Georgiana has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales and use taxes for the city. This change is effective at 12:00 midnight September 30, 2001. Therefore, your last City of Georgiana sales and use tax return filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue will be for the month of September 2001. The return for September 2001 is due on or before October 20, 2001.
Your City of Georgiana sales and use taxes for October 2001 which are due on or before November 20, 2001, should be remitted to:
