The governing body of the Town of Leesburg has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales and use taxes for the Town. This resolution will be effective at 12:00 midnight January 31, 2000. Therefore, your last Town of Leesburg sales and use tax to be filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue will be for the month of January 2000. The return for January will be due on or before February 20, 2000.
Your Town of Leesburg sales and use taxes for February 2000 which are due on or before March 20, 2000, should be remitted to:
On or before March 20, 2000 the Town of Leesburg will provide you with new forms to be used in filing the Town returns.
