The governing body of Madison County has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services
rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales and use taxes for
the County. This resolution becomes effective at 12:00 midnight September 30, 1998.
Therefore, your last Madison County sales and use tax return to be filed with the Alabama
Department of Revenue will be for the month of September 1998.
Effective with your sales and use taxes for October 1998 please remit said taxes to:

On or before November 20, 1998 Madison County will be providing you with new forms to be
used in filing the County returns directly with them.
