The governing body of the City of Marion has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales and use taxes for the city. This resolution is effective at 12:00 midnight July 31, 2002. Therefore, your last City of Marion sales and use tax return filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue will be for the month of July 2002. The return for July 2002 is due on or before August 20, 2002.
Your City of Marion sales and use taxes for August 2002 which are due on or before September 20, 2002, should be remitted to:
