The governing body of the Town of Newton has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales tax for the town. This change is effective at 12:00 midnight July 31, 2001. Therefore, your last Town of Newton sales tax filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue is for the month of July 2001. The return for July 2001 is due on or before August 20, 2001.
Your Town of Newton sales tax for August 2001 which is due on or before September 20, 2001, should be remitted to:
