Effective April 1, 2009.
The City of Northport has increased their lodgings tax as shown below:

If the renting or furnishing of rooms, lodgings or accommodations to transients are made outside the corporate limits of the city but within the police jurisdiction. The rates of lodgings tax in the police jurisdiction are one-half of those stated above.
The City of Northport utilizes the ADOR's Paperless Filing & Payment System, therefore, Northport's taxes should be remitted online at: www.revenue.alabama.gov/salestax/efiling.html.
