ACH Credit Payment Method

General
Your company must be pre-approved to pay Baldwin County taxes using the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Credit Payment Method. This notice provides the Baldwin County’s information for making those payments once approval has been obtained. Taxpayers that do not obtain pre-approval, or who otherwise do not comply with the below requirements may not be permitted to remit tax payments using the ACH Credit Method and may be subject to late payment penalties and interest.

The EFT tax payments must be transferred to the Baldwin County's bank account by the due date of the taxes.  The EFT payment must be transmitted one business day before the DUE DATE prior to your bank's cut-off-time, for the payment to be considered timely paid.  Please contact the Baldwin County for the bank transit / routing number and the bank account number to use for making the payments:

Alabama Department of Revenue Guidelines
The Baldwin County generally adheres to the Alabama Department of Revenue rules as contained in the EFT Program Guide Booklet of ACH Credit Payment Method Procedures & Guidelines available online from ADOR. Taxpayers should be familiar with these guidelines.

Addenda Record Required
Taxpayer is responsible for providing its financial institution with the information necessary to initiate a timely ACH Credit transaction utilizing the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) CCD+ entry and the TXP Banking Convention Addenda Record. Additional information concerning the TXP Banking Convention Addenda Record required by the Baldwin County can be found below.

This number is provided to the taxpayer when the online return is submitted, which should appear as follows on the return printed by the taxpayer:

Baldwin County Recommendations for the Company Batch Header Record
Periodically, due to error or software problems, the entire TXP Addenda Record may not be received by the Baldwin County. If that occurs, it may not be possible to identify the taxpayer making the payment. To assist in resolving these errors conditions, please provide the following information in the Company Batch Header Record:
