The governing body of Russell County has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales and use, rental/lease, and lodgings taxes for the county. This resolution will be effective at 12:00 midnight August 31, 2001. Therefore, your last Russell County sales and use, rental/lease, and lodgings tax return filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue is for the month of August 2001. The August return is due on or before September 20, 2001.
Effective with your sales and use, rental/lease, and lodgings taxes for September 2001, due on or before October 20, 2001, please remit said taxes to:
