The governing body of the City of Sheffield has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales and use tax for the city. This resolution is effective at 12:00 midnight October 31, 2001. Therefore, your last City of Sheffield sales and use tax return filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue is for the month of October 2001. The October return is due on or before November 20, 2001.
Effective with your sales and use tax for November 2001, which is due on or before December 20, 2001, please remit said taxes to:
