The governing body of the Town of Shorter has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales, use, and lodgings taxes for the town. This resolution will become effective at 12:00 midnight December 31, 2000. Therefore, your last Town of Shorter sales, use, and lodgings tax return required to be filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue will be for the month of December 2000.
Your Town of Shorter sales, use and lodgings taxes for January 2001 which are due on or before February 20, 2001, should be remitted to:
