On May 25, 2001, Governor Don Siegelman issued Executive Order Number 54 disallowing the monthly discount on state and state-administered county and municipal sellers use taxes collected by the license holder on or after June 1, 2001.
Revised state sellers use tax coupon booklets will not be mailed until October 20, 2001; therefore, you should continue using your existing state sellers use tax coupons for the months of June through September 2001 but deduct no discount for prompt payment of state and state-administered county and municipal sellers use taxes.
