The governing body of the City of Winfield has adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the Alabama Department of Revenue in collecting the sales and use taxes for the city. This resolution will be effective at 12:00 midnight December 31, 2000. Therefore, your last City of Winfield sales and use tax return to be filed with the Alabama Department of Revenue will be for the month of December 2000. The return for December will be due on or before January 20, 2001.
Your City of Winfield sales and use taxes for January 2001 which are due on or before February 20, 2001, should be remitted to:
On or before February 20, 2001 the City of Winfield will provide you with new forms to be used in filing the city returns.
