By resolution of the Jackson County Commission in accordance with Alabama Code Section 11-3-11, the Alabama Department of Revenue will no longer administer and collect tobacco taxes for Jackson County.

The Alabama Department of Revenue will collect Jackson County tobacco taxes for activity through November 30, 2002. The November 2002 Monthly County Tobacco Tax Return, due no later than December 20, 2002, will be the final return to report activity and remit tobacco taxes to the Alabama Department of Revenue for Jackson County.

Any questions concerning the collection and administration of Jackson County tobacco taxes after November 30, 2002 activities must be directed to the Jackson County Commission.
