If you forget your e-filing password, you can reset it yourself without having to call the Alabama Department of Revenue. We have added new Security Questions. When you first login and "Create a User Profile," you are required to provide a password, and select and answer two security questions to provide password hints. The Security Questions and Answers are associated with your accounts to protect your security and privacy. In the event you forget your password, we use your Security Answers to verify your identity.

When entering the wrong password, the site will display a link to the Password Hints. Upon answering the hints correctly, you will be taken to the Main Menu of your online account. You will then need to select "Change Profile" from the Main Menu to change the password.

Please note that this function is for User 001. As before, any additional users must be reset by the 001 administrator.
