With two decades of experience at the Alabama Department of Revenue, Cameran Clark brings deep expertise in tax policy administration, legislative affairs, and fiscal analysis. Her tenure includes leadership roles across multiple projects and divisions and as Director of Tax Policy and Governmental Affairs, where she played a pivotal role in shaping state tax legislation and policy.
In her current capacity as Department Secretary, Cameran provides strategic oversight of ALDOR’s administrative rulemaking process, represents the department in legislative and intergovernmental matters, and fulfills other statutory responsibilities assigned to the Secretary.
She oversees the Investigations, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Property Tax divisions, in addition to managing the CHOOSE Act Alabama Program and District Coordinators and Taxpayer Service Centers across the state.
Cameran holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Public Administration from Auburn University at Montgomery. She and her husband Matthew are natives of Wetumpka, Alabama, and have three children.
