Effective February 1, 2026, cigarette tax must be collected by affixing the appropriate Walker County tobacco revenue stamp to all cigarette packages sold within this county. Please submit your order for the required stamps via My Alabama Taxes (https://myalabamataxes.alabama.gov/_/#1) beginning January 20, 2026, for application beginning February 1. Cigarette packages without the appropriate state-administered county stamp shall be subject to confiscation.

Please ensure that the person responsible for preparing the monthly state-administered county tobacco tax returns receives this notice.
