SUBJECT: Revised Interest Chart – Effective January 1, 2023

Attached is the updated interest rate chart as required by Section 40-1-44, Code of Alabama, 1975. The underpayment rate for the second quarter of this fiscal year established by the Secretary of the Treasury under the authority of 26 U.S.C. §6621 is 7 percent.

The updated interest chart will be posted at https://www.revenue.alabama.gov/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/interestchart.pdf. If you have any questions, contact our office at 334-353-7827, option 5.
