MEMORANDUM 2017-021
TO: License Plate Issuing Officials
SUBJECT: New Distinctive License Plates for Issuance Beginning January 1, 2018
The Alabama Home Builders license plate has exceeded the minimum required number of precommitments and will be available for issuance beginning January 1, 2018. Please note all personalized and pre-numbered plates featuring the design must be ordered on the Plate Reservation and Ordering System (PROS) beginning January 1, 2018. Distribution information from the State Comptroller’s office will be provided soon.
The tag numbering schemes for the license plates may be found on the Motor Vehicle Division website at https://revenue.alabama.gov/motor-vehicle/ under “Reference & Statistics” then “Registration File Information.”
