MEMORANDUM 2018-001
TO: License Plate Issuing Officials
SUBJECT: Redesigned Distinctive License Plates for Issuance Beginning February 1, 2018
The Huntsville Hospital and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority license plates have been redesigned and will be available for issuance beginning February 1, 2018. Please note all personalized and pre-numbered plates featuring the design must be ordered on the Plate Reservation
and Ordering System (PROS) beginning February 1, 2018. At that time, please remember to remove all Huntsville Hospital and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority license plates with the old design from your shelves and retain them for audit purposes.
The tag numbering schemes for the license plates may be found on the Motor Vehicle Division website at https://revenue.alabama.gov/motor-vehicle/ under “Reference & Statistics” then “Registration File Information.”
