NOTICE
TO: All Tobacco Wholesalers Filing State-Administered County Tobacco Taxes
SUBJECT: Marshall County and St. Clair County Tobacco Revenue Stamps
Effective Nov. 1, 2018, cigarette tax must be collected by affixing the appropriate Marshall
or St. Clair County tobacco revenue stamp to all cigarette packages sold within these counties.
Please submit your order for the required stamps via https://myalabamataxes.alabama.gov/_/#1
(MAT) beginning Oct. 24, 2018, for application beginning Nov. 1. Cigarette packages
without the appropriate state-administered county stamp shall be subject to confiscation.
Please ensure that the person responsible for preparing the monthly state-administered
county tobacco tax returns receives this notice. You may contact the Tobacco Tax Section
with questions at 334-242-9627 or P. O. Box 327555, Montgomery, AL 36132-7555 or
tobacco.account@revenue.alabama.gov.
