Effective March 16, 2020, Governor Kay Ivey declared a State of Emergency to lessen the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) to the citizens of Alabama. To continue to meet the needs of wholesalers requiring stamps while limiting the exposure to employees in the office, as of Thursday, April 2, 2020, orders for the state and state-administered county cigarette stamps will be processed on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Payments for cash orders must be received by the previous business day no later than 3:45 pm CST in order for the Department to process the order timely. All orders will be shipped via FedEx. The building continues to be closed for pickup orders.
